help me make the
"How Loved You Are" Music Video
I need your help.
One of the biggest messages of this song is that so many of us struggle with what we see when we look in the mirror. We see our mistakes, our flaws, our regrets, or the voice that tells us we don’t measure up.
But God sees someone deeply loved.
I'd love for this music video to be made up of real people looking into a mirror and singing these words over themselves. You don't have to be a great singer (I won’t be using the audio from your video). You just have to be willing to be part of something honest.
If you'd like to participate, record yourself singing along to "How Loved You Are" while looking into a mirror, then upload your video using the button below.
How to Film Your Video
Record your video vertically (portrait orientation).
Use the highest quality your phone allows (4K is great if available).
Stand or sit in front of a mirror.
Play the song and simply sing or lip-sync along. I won't be using the audio from your video. I'll replace it with the studio recording when I edit everything together. The important thing is that your mouth lines up with the lyrics.
If you're singing along out loud, feel free to use earbuds so the music doesn't overpower your voice in the recording.
Look at yourself in the mirror as you sing.
Keep the camera as still as possible.
Start recording a few seconds before the music begins, and keep recording for a few seconds after you're finished.
Don't worry about singing perfectly. No one will hear your audio. This is about being part of the message, not putting on a performance.
Feel free to smile, cry, laugh, or simply be yourself. Real emotion is what matters most.
A Quick Note About the Lyrics
If you can, try to memorize the song before you record. Looking yourself in the eyes instead of reading from a phone will make your video feel much more natural and personal.
If you need the lyrics, that's completely okay! Feel free to print them, tape them next to the mirror, or place them somewhere close to the camera so your eyes stay up as much as possible.

Verse 1
What would Jesus do
If He heard me talking to me like I do
Looking in the mirror, hating who I see
No one has been harder on myself than me
What would Jesus say?
Would He stand between me and the mirror, face to face
Say, "I can't let you keep talking to my friend that way"
I wonder, would He say
Chorus
You're someone that I died for
Someone that I cry for
Someone that I hold together when you fall apart
You're someone that I'll fight for
Leave it all behind for
So look me in the eyes 'til you know with all your heart
How loved you are
How loved you are
Verse 2
God, would You help me see
I'm trying to catch a glimpse of what You see in me
So shatter all the shame that's got me covered up
And burn down every lie that tries to hide Your love
When You say
Chorus
You're someone that I died for
Someone that I cry for
Someone that I hold together when you fall apart
You're someone that I fight for
Leave it all behind for
So look me in the eyes 'til you know with all your heart
How loved you are
How loved you are
Bridge
Jesus loves me, I know this is true
He loves me for me, and not what I do
So I can let go of what I put myself through
If Jesus loves me
Then I guess I can, too
Final Chorus
You're someone that I died for
Someone that I cry for
Someone that I hold together when you fall apart
You're someone that I'll fight for
Leave the 99 for
So look me in the eyes 'til you know with all your heart
How loved you are
How loved you are
How loved you are
How loved you are
